The Friends welcome all gifts in wills, however large or small, and we promise to use your gift to make a difference to the church.
Our Legacy Policy is where possible to use gifts to help fund significant projects which will help preserve or improve the church and its surroundings.
Since the Friend’s priorities change over the years, we encourage you to leave a gift in your will for the general purposes of the Friends rather than for a restricted purpose. We will discuss possible uses of your gift with your executors when the time comes, bearing in mind your known areas of interest in the church (for example, the fabric of the church, music and the organ, maintenance and repair of the graveyard and its monuments, the stained glass windows) and the Friends’ priorities at the time.
You can be confident that your gift will be used to make a real difference to the church and its surroundings.
We will acknowledge any gift you make in whatever way you or your executor feels most appropriate. Equally, we can make sure that your gift will remain anonymous if you prefer and say so in your will.
If you would like to talk to someone in confidence about how your gift might be used, or how you would like your gift to be acknowledged, please contact the Friends. You can do so by emailing the PCC’s Treasurer at trhernillpcc@gmail.com or by calling him on 07942 342454 and he will be happy to explain how your wishes can best be respected.
If you would like to make a gift in memory of a loved one, please do discuss this with him as well.
